endorsed by the NRA.

Of the six days I've been in town, I've been to Waffle House five of them.

Third season of Weeds? Complete.

I've also been trying out the tat on heterosexual males. Quality reactions there, quality. And I haven't even busted out the leotards yet.

I tried to start recycling in my house, because we haven't recycled for about 10 years which I think is outrageous. My mom shot me down because she hates the Earth so now the recycling boxes have to live in my room which is stupid because nobody's going to walk upstairs just to sort their garbage. I called my dad at work but he didn't even care and just told me to sort it out with my mom. Apparently, Ben's morals don't include recycling because he refuses to take sides. I hate this state.

Also, today I saw a campaign poster for Bob Inglis (our House guy running for re-election) which proclaimed that he was "endorsed by the NRA." Why do I live in a state where this is a good thing?

My friend Jeremy has mutton chops.

I also learned about this thing called Purple Draaaank. It's the opposite of an energy drink, claiming to "slow your roll." My friend Tom says that it's the only thing black people drink. I WANT OUT OF THE SOUTH.

Kids. (Part II)

Scene: FATHER's house. Living room. Nighttime. The television is on,                                          ALYSSA's brothers are in bed, and all is quiet.

(FATHER sits in the recliner and ALYSSA is on the couch, reading.)

FATHER
                    (random talking)
ALYSSA
                    (absent-minded nods and 'mhmm's)

(JT opens his door  and yells from down the hall, clearly not having                                  gone to sleep.)

JT
Daaaaad? What happens when you get chocolate up your nose?

                   (ALYSSA laughs)

FATHER
How did you get chocolate up your nose?
JT
I was eating a Reese's and.. and.. I ate it while I hanged down off my bed.
FATHER
Well blow it out!

(JT is heard blowing his nose from the bathroom.)

JT
Daaaaad? Why is it coming out brown?!
FATHER
Because it's chocolate! Go to bed.

                    (Blackout)

                    (End of Scene)

This is the most excitement I've had all week. But it definitely made me laugh.
Also, My cousin Kristi took me to dinner at this place called Pirate Island. The waiters get to dress like pirates and it's decorated like a pirate island, if you can imagine. I'm pretty sure I had the best fries ever. This is why I love my cousins. She's definitely 21 and was more excited about this place than I was... and she had even been there before.

Heading to Kanosh, Utah, today. A teensie tiny town where the biggest place to buy groceries is the "Merc." It's actually a mercantile, or general store. Kanosh is one of those towns where everyone knows everyone and food shows up at your door on random occasions because the neighbor just felt like cooking and bringing it over. Or, as in the case of my grandma's neighbor, Debbie, they don't know how to cook for less than ten people at a time, so you get to eat their food because they have nothing else to do with it. Rather convenient, actually. Though... I'm incredibly happy they at least have a gas station so people do have to option to leave. Nobody seems to jump on that opportunity though. It confuses me.

SEX...

Sex and the City Number Two.
Went tonight.
Buffalo Wild Wings before for dinner.

Went with:
My mom and step-sister Aubrey
and
Becca and her mom Amy
and
Kelsey and her mom Donna and her sister Brooke
and
Chloe and her mom Diana
and
Carla and her mom Ms. Griego haha.
Then
Ran into Justine and her mom, so they joined our group.
We took up two rows. Win.

Giant mother-daughter gathering/bonding time. Oh the glory.

4:02

Well.
It's 4:02. In the morning.
Just got home from a random night back in the 505.
Sara crashed on her scooter. She got bad road rash but is okay.
We took her a card. I love her. Glad she's fine, still scary, though.
Saw Laura. Had dinner with her and Jared. YUM ENCHILADAS! They have 2 foster cats. Stella and Samuel.
Went to a shindig at Rio's. He went to Tulane and is a teddy bear.
Saw my ex's sister from afar. RANDOM. Why was she there? I do not know.
Saw sooooo many people. Random. Good, mostly. But very random.
Then went to Drew's and talked in the driveway.
Now it's 4:05.
4:06. Shower and sleep. This night is creeping me out. So much random.
Glory? Yes. But oh so weird.

it's like a valentine from your mother, it's 'bout to melt your heart

Staci, these are pots for plants. They made me think of you quite a bit. They are also somewhat mini, like the ones you had this past semester. They're at Michael's, if you need to know.

Kids.

First full day back and I'm already babysitting my cousins Avi and Bodie. A night consisting of spongebob playing cards, War!, spinning, dinner, listing all of the words we can think of that start with each letter of the alphabet (Yup. Bodie is still obsessed with letters), books, and brownies. Here's mainly how our conversations go:

Bodie: Alyssa do you know why you're funny?
Me: Why?
Bodie: Because you're a turtle. Do you know why you're crazy?
Me: Nope. Why?
Bodie: Because you're name is Alyssa.
Me: What?! You're strange.
Avi: No, you're strange!

...And then they run away. Or attack. I can never tell.

livin the WaHo life.

So I didn't get in until 5AM this morning.

Basically, after delaying my flight from Phoenix to Atlanta by 3 hours, Delta dumped my ass in Atlanta by canceling the Atlanta-Greenville flight altogether, which resulted in me calling dear sweet Paul Lee at 11:30 at night, asking him what's the fastest he's ever driven to Atlanta. Answer: 2.5 hours. Each way. Quality.

So we had good times. We also had a conversation that went like this.

Bethe: Hey. I have something to show you later. I bet you don't know what it is.

Paul: Is it a tattoo?

Bethe: (grumble grumble overreact that you spoiled my surprise) Well you still can't know what it is.

Paul: Can I guess?

Bethe: Yes.

Paul: Is it birds?

Bethe: (MORE OVERREACTING and being upset!) FINE. But you can't know WHERE it is!

Paul: (thinks for some seconds) If I had to guess, I'd say your back?

So basically Paul went 3/3 on guessing all the cool shit I had to share. Lame. We also stopped for gas on the way back, and I would like the world to know that I paid $2.49 a gallon, MOTHAFUCKAAA. Because everything is cheaper in the south.

Speaking of the south, I went to WaHo today with Nina this afternoon and it was the first thing I've eaten since I got back, only then I realized it was also the last thing I ate in Greenville before I left, and then I felt like a fatass, but also someone who knows about priorities.

I told Ben-jammin' about the hostage situation and read him Darcy's post. He's now convinced that the two of you will become friends when you come to Greenville. Ben has also informed me that, while not desirable, marrying Anthony is a more morally acceptable way to pay for college than surrogate motherhood. Not really sure how he came up with this scale, but apparently it exists.

Your playlists were all awesome. I listened to all of them. Gladys, I LOLed like 5 times during yours.

And I'm glad to hear that the hostage situation/threat has been successfully neutralized.

Stay thug.

composstttt

So, yesterday, Alyssa and I were the last ones left on WF and we sat around for an hour talking to Chad. Then, as we began to gathered our things, I noticed the compost outside. Yep, we never did that. So Alyssa and I looked into it, and yeah, it was gross. But there was no time to dispose of it properly. So I just turned it upside down off the balcony. And hit it against the wall. Chad watched. I got most of it out. Then Chad took it to the dumpster.

Yay compost.

In light and Sound of Things...

I was home today
My neighbors bought a wind chime
Its super calming

Thought I'd actually contribute for once, plus I'm buying a wind chime for my room next year. I know now that I absolutely love the sounds it makes in the wind.....plus it reminds me of the movie Signs (unrelated note).

First Day Back and a Hostage Situation

It's a little too soon to say that I miss Weird Floor. To say that now would just detract from future tear stained posts and pleads to come and rescue me from my agrarian prison. Besides, this morning I have already had coffee (that I didn't have to make) and I have news to report in the Hostage Situation of 2010.

As many of you know on Thursday May 13th Weird Floor an important member of Weird Floor was the victim of a heinous crime. One of our own was taken hostage, this innocent bystander became a pawn in the escalating territory dispute with the SAPS nation. In accordance to the spirit of Weird Floor we were not prepared to leave a man behind and our negotiations began. To put the odds of negotiating the safe release of a hostage in perspective I googled "hostage returned/released" and "hostage murdered" with the results of 1.5 million returned to 10.3 million killed, the odds were not on the side of justice. However, Weird Floor, like it has done so many times before beat the odds. Through the valiant and courageous tactics of head negotiator BetheReed our man was returned at 12:30PM.

He sustained minor cosmetic wounds that are being treated in an undisclosed location in Southern California, and is adjusting to life post-tragedy.

In an unrelated note, as I was charged with regaling Weird Floor with all of the happenings in Ramona, it is my hilarious duty to inform you all that my mom did not tell my father that I got a tattoo. Instead of disclosing this to him we are going to see how long it takes him to notice. Why? Well, for no other reason than it is funnier this way. It might take years for him to notice. I cant' wait.

Reactions

I can have more than one reaction at a time....

hello all my loves
I am finally adding
to this lovely blog

Finally was 3 syllables. Anyways, wow. I'm going to miss you all a lot.

Also, I'm taking advantage of the fact that I'm on Darcy's computer right now to upload this picture. I really wish I'd been there when you put the Canadian in a one-sy. And I just noticed the matching headbands, which are sweet.

Who wants to be right as rain?

Guys, I love when everything goes wrong. I just feel you need to know this.
I get really confident and I get shit done.

Like my car broke the day finals started, which you should really be aware of by now because I also like to complain. But anyway. My car broke, and seriously.. I got really ambitious. I packed my entire room. I called a bunch of places trying to figure out how to fix it. I downsized my boxes so that they could all fit in Anthony's car. I called AAA (after waiting for three days for my mom and my membership to kick in). And then when I drove my car for five minutes to go get gas for it, and it died again, I called AAA again. Also I wrote 15 pages worth of papers for my finals. Plus I made a bracelet and watched Weeds and South Park.

I find it a little weird that I can thrive on disaster scenarios, but wow. Every situation I can think of where circumstances change and we need a new plan, I find that I have the best time because we have to be creative and fix everything, even if the process itself seems stressful.

Last Night

This will be short and sweet because my fingers are tired from typing so damn much this year...ugh haha

It's our last night all together on the weird floor. I am very sad. Very sad. I am writing my last essay of freshman year of college. Doesn't it feel like we just moved in?? I will miss all of you dearly and I cannot wait for our adventures next year. I am excited to read all of your entries over the summer. We must not forget about weird flog!! I love you all! I should get back to that essay now.

Tribute to the Shower

I wish I could shower now, and later, and after that. I really need a shower right about now. I think I'm stressed and showers are relaxing. Just turn on the water and wash away your problems out of your brain. I could solve all the problems of the world in the shower. I would just go in there, let the water hit and let my brain think clearly. They should make waterproof paper. I could study in the shower and everything would be much easier to cram into such a small body cavity. I could sleep in the shower, well make that a tub with a shower. I've done it before, I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna lock myself in the shower and never come out okay? Everyone has to be louder than the shower to reach me. Good luck with that. Nope, I'm not turning the water off sorry. Kinda defeats the purpose if I can hear you. When cold then turn the water hot and it feels so good, when it's hot it's the best because then it cools you off and it's awesome. The pressure hits your shoulders just the right way. Nope, I don't care closet full of stuff that has to go elsewhere, nope I don't care finals trying to suck the life out of me. You can't get in here and I can't hear you! Speak into the microphone oop... you don't have one haha! That's why the shower is an awesome place. And for all of the above mentioned reasons... I love thee shower!

A Haiku for What I’d Say in a Shakespeare Play

For why? Oh, finals!

Your misery consumes me.

Oh, how I loathe thee!

Side note--> I hope you aren't sick of haikus, yet.
I am not. I love haiku. And you.

You are wonderful.

I just haven't met you yet,

But I love you lots.

Tea for two, and two for tea

I'm at the Living Room Café again, trying to make myself write an essay more than 24 hours before it is due. Not working out so well. And I had yet to write on here, which I find unacceptable. Stacemonayyy and I only have two more to more to go to in the next week, and then we will have visited them all. We'll succeed.

I love cafés. There needs to be more around campus. They are cozy and have tea and make productivity a lot more acceptable. Either way, I plan to spend more time at them next year, and I'd love for you all to join me.

I also want to point out that I love that we get a blog to write with each other so everyone gets to be updated this summer when we continue our weird shenanigans apart (Sad Face). Whoever came up with it is brilliant.

Right now though, we're currently working on a list of words (or non-words) that we really like and really dislike because of how they sound when you say them. For example, I like the word feetsies, and Stacemonayy likes the words monies and putrid. Loves likes the words spackle and fidget. And Stacemonayy dislikes the word pubic. If anyone has any contributions, please feel free to comment.. or just tell me later. :D

Friday

I can't believe it is our last Friday of our freshman year of college. I am canceling my previous plans for this evening in order to spend it with you all, just thought you should know.

I am currently watching Friends, and thinking about all of the memories we have made this year in our little mini-apartment. Too bad we didn't have an ugly naked guy to poke.

Yay for Friday, and here's to a fun last weekend at college!

A Haiku for Naps and Alliteration

Sweet naps snuggling,
Serenading my spirit,
Supplying soul smiles.

I decided that a nap sounded amazing. So instead of writing an essay which is for a final exam, I wrote this haiku. And now I'm going to take a nap. I'm excited about being snuggled and serenaded and supplied soul smiles as I slumber. I'll be swell. Just saying.

Also... teammates, will someone post lots of things, so I feel less annoying for writing all over this blog? That'd be sweet :]

I also think that instead of saying "Love, Staci" at the end of letters or rants, I should be allowed to say "Sending sunshine, Staci." I believe that sunshine is made of smiles, happiness, gold, love, unicorn horns, fairy dust, sunflowers, mermaid scales, sunkisses, and hope. I'd like to send that to people. So for now....

Sending sunshine,
StaceMonayyy

A Haiku in Collaboration

Our arms fit nicely.
People look at us strangely.
But it feels so nice.

-An original haiku by Stacemonayyy and I. It speaks the truth.

A Haiku a Day

Dear Weird Floor,
I have decided to write a haiku a day. Of anyone wants to join in and do it to, that would be swell. I'm just warning you haiku's will be all over the place and in your FACE. YES.
Mmmmkay.
Love,
Staci

Summer is coming.

I will miss you dear weird floor.

Let’s all fucking blog.
